Long Half Day Kayak Tour - 7/05/25

Come spend the morning paddling down the San Joaquin River! This 5 hour downriver trip takes you from Lost Lake Park to Owl Hollow, the Trust’s riverfront property near the River Center. You will learn the basics of paddling your own sit on top kayak, with time to practice on a calm area of the river before heading downstream. This stretch includes more time paddling down river, with a rest stop included at the halfway point. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and/or a lunch.

Groups will meet the guide at the River Center and caravan to the end point to drop off half of participant vehicles and then shuttle to the starting point at Lost Lake where the group will gear up and start the downriver tour. Passes will be provided to cover the Lost Lake entrance fee. Groups will spend approximately 3 to 3 1/2 hours on the water.

• Participants are responsible for shuttling all members of their group between the tour locations. Please plan accordingly to ensure you have the appropriate number of vehicles with passenger space for all members of your party.

Time: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Price: $65/participant

Participants: Maximum of 12 participants. Participants must register in groups of 2 or more to accommodate shuttling requirements.  Ages 16+. Kayaks are one person, sit on top boats.

Stretch: Lost Lake to Owl Hollow

Full refund provided for cancellations made at least 1 week in advance of the tour. 50% refund provided for cancellations made three days prior to the tour. No refund is provided for late cancellations or no-shows.  If a tour is cancelled due to low enrollment or inclement weather, registered participants will be contacted and offered the opportunity to reschedule or request a full refund.
