Coexist With Wildlife CA Day - August 31st, 2024

Join the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust to celebrate California's wildlife through a day of special events and activities!

There will be two sets of hands-on activities taking place on Saturday, August 31st, followed by a celebration for all event participants.

Phase 1 - 7 AM - 9 AM: Learn - Join us for a mini BioBlitz event or class to learn more about the San Joaquin River and the flora and fauna that call this ecosystem home

Phase 2 - 9 AM - 11 AM: Lend a Hand - Give back by joining a hands-on event restoring the natural environment

Phase 3 - 11 AM - 1 PM: Celebrate! - Head to the River Center to enjoy lunch from the onsite food trucks, learn more about local conservation organizations tabling on site, and enjoy free ice cream and popsicles.  All participants in Phase 1 and Phase 2 events will receive tickets to be entered into a drawing for prizes donated by participating organizations, which will be held at 12:00 pm.

If you plan on attending all three phases, suggestions for recommended event groupings based on location will be included in the event descriptions.  Use the links below to register for individual events and join us as we celebrate California's wildlife and wild spaces together!
